Arcanum
Edition 2025

by Patricia Anastassiadis

In Latin, Arcanum is mystery. Something not immediately revealed, which carries within it a profound essence, capable of traversing the ages. An expert observer, architect and designer Patricia Anastassiadis is using yet another powerful concept to express the furniture collection she designs for Artefacto – this is the eighth time the creative director has designed Edition.
The inspirations come from points that connect in time and space. “Rome, the Eternal City, inspires me at various times,” says Patricia. It is from this aesthetic immortality, this timelessness that is revealed in precise lines and refined shapes, that the new collection is born.
"I understand design as a relationship with time," she says. In the current collection, the timelessness of features is his object of study, with the city and its architectural ensemble of Rome as inspiration. "When you walk around the city and come across works that are over two thousand years old, you see the perfection and simplicity that still shines through today."

ARCANUM COLLECTION

Since her first creations, Patricia has maintained continuity, expanding the possibilities with collections that complement the previous ones. In her view, one launch does not overlap another: they dialog and evolve together. “I understand design as a relationship with time,” she says. In the current collection, the timelessness of features is his object of study, with the city and its architectural ensemble of Rome as inspiration. “When you walk around the city and come across works that are over two thousand years old, you see the perfection and simplicity that still shines through today.”

This balance between the complex and the essential is at the heart of Arcanum. A collection that rescues what humanity has missed over the centuries. The hand-crafted details, symbols and adornments are still part of everyday life in Rome, not only in monuments, but also in everyday objects such as the sword, shield and chalice - designed with impressive aesthetic rigor. “Even in utilitarian objects, beauty was always present,” she observes. In Patricia's view, humanity in modern, fast-paced times has lost its eye for detail.
